Minutes of the October 23, 2015 Meeting
·         Were distributed and approved via electronic vote prior to this meeting.
Invited Guests
·         Jonathan Finch was invited to attend but cancelled due to a conflict.  Tom Hiebel will reach out to Jonathan again so the committee can obtain an update on how security handles student parking violations.
·         Scott Jaeschke discussed Title 9 and procedures related to student code of conduct (3-2-106.1 and 3-106.2). Scott stressed the need to have faculty representation on the Hearing Committee.  Senators suggested that Scott reach out to faculty directly for volunteers during the Professional Development Day training event.  Scott indicated he would report back if he still needed faculty representation after the event.
·         Keri Catalfomo presented an update for the Adjunct Study Committee.  She shared the results of the survey and circulated a listing of seven (7) committee recommendations to support the adjunct faculty at TCTC.  There was a recommendation to have Faculty Senate form a sub-committee for adjunct support on an ongoing basis.  The vice president will take the official lead for this committee going forward. Stacey Frank, the current vice president, will be the FS representative on the current Adjunct Study Committee.
Old Business
·         Construction effort and parking.  Tom Hiebel reported that he will continue efforts to reach out to Ken Kopera, among others, to get a status report on a possible loss of faculty parking spaces during construction and the concerns of faculty.
·         The overload contract issue raised at the last meeting was successfully resolved.  The contract was re-calculated.
