Welcome and Agenda
·         Tom Hiebel introduced the agenda for the meeting
Minutes of September 18, 2015
·         Were distributed and approved via electronic vote prior to this meeting.
Invited Guests
Jonathan Finch was scheduled to discuss reserved parking issues and had to cancel due to an illness in the family.  Members asked that Meg reschedule with Jonathan and to add issues related to parking control to the agenda.  It was agreed that if Jonathan could not make the next meeting, that we would ask him to provide information to the Senate in writing.  Meg agreed to follow up.
Old Business
Tom Hiebel discussed the Lean Processes Pilot Program.  He mentioned that faculty senate will have input to the processes selected for review. Preliminary processes mentioned included: curriculum changes, course substitutions and the graduation application process, and transfer credit.  It was agreed that we need more information related to process changes that are currently in the works before we would reach out to Faculty for input related to processes and priorities.
New Business
·         The upcoming construction project and its effect on faculty parking was discussed. Amy Roberts made a motion that faculty request that any faculty parking losses resulting from the construction effort be replaced by an equal number of spaces which could be reallocated from student parking.  Stacey Frank seconded the motion. The motion carried by unanimous consent.  Tom Hiebel agreed to make a formal request of Ken Kopera.

·         Stacey Frank indicated that a faculty member had expressed concern about how compensation for an overload course was calculated. Apparently, the amount was less than previous overload calculations.  Stacey agreed to follow up with the individual to obtain more details and if an issue exists Tom Hiebel agreed to take up the matter with Sharon Colcolough in Human Resources.

The next meeting will be held on Friday November 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM.  Tom will reserve a room and Meg will update the meeting invitation with the location.
