Agenda

·         Review Calendar Considerations
·         Work on 2020 calendars

Committee Logistics
·         Next meeting location will need to be somewhere that has enough seats and projector that projects onto a whiteboard to allow group to work through calendars
·         Fall 2019 and Summer 2019 were sent to the Academic Leadership Team for approval
o   Changes suggested by ALT
§  When group designates different days as instructional days, we make this more prominent
§  Days were out of order
§  Send enrollment calendar days to Jenni Creamer for approval before it is sent to ALT
·         Spring 2019 graduation date was moved from May 7th to May 6th due to the availability of Littlejohn
o   This reduces the amount of processing time that the ROSDC has for end of term
·         Pam Goodman is our new Faculty Senate representative
o   Scott met with Marcia and Pam beforehand to review history of committee and considerations
·         Exam schedule was published early and many have expressed how much they appreciate this
·         Banner 9 will cut processing time for end of term down to 2 days
·         Determining whether commencement can be scheduled on a weekend is awaiting Dr. Booth’s approval
·         Faculty non-work days will be published in minutes and if department chooses to schedule meetings on these days that is beyond the control of the Academic Calendar committee
·         Summer final exam days were difficult with Session A exams taking place while Session C class was still in session
o   Non-standard meeting patterns have also caused issues with the exam schedule
