Minutes of the Meeting

June 12, 2014

8:30 a.m.

Ruby Hicks Conference Room, RH102

 

Members Present: Emily Danuser, Debbie Thrasher, Tammy Stout-Fiske, Bob White, Cathy Strasser

Members Absent:Jessica Raymond, Alydia Sims
Length of Meeting: 40 Minutes

1.    ISSUE DISCUSSED: Call to Order

·         Approval of May minutes

2.    ISSUE DISCCUSSED:    Old Business

·         Discussion of the budget of the Spring F/S event is $3500 additional funding was needed to purchase the Greenville Drive tickets with meals. 

·         The questions presented are:  Do we want to eliminate the Holiday Drop-Ins?  Do we want to purchase game tickets and not the picnic tickets?  Or, do we want to purchase game tickets with a gift certificate? 

·         It was decided to do a formal feedback evaluation after gathering more information for other Spring event ideas. 

·         Emily – Franklin Fun Park

·         Debbie – Cleveland Zoo/Picnic

·         Picnic Downtown / Free Event

·         Golden Park / Simpsonville Water Park/ Other ideas

·         It was decided not to open the events to adjuncts.

3.    ISSUE DISCUSSED:       New Business

·         The official process to add an item to the agenda is 10 days prior to a meeting send Debbie an email with the request.

·         The process of calling for a vote has to be brought to the board.  The request can be requested again 1 year later if not approved by the board.

·         Personnel Department is working on the Staff Orientation Project Charter.  They have a scheduled meeting starting in July.

·         It is stated in the constitution that the meeting for the Staff Advisory Board should meet every month.  This can be amended.  A recommendation is being considered to change verbiage to minimum 1 meeting per quarter.

The next meeting will be held on July 10, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in the RH Conference Room.
